Infinity English Master Oracy Programme

Empowering every child to read well and speak with confidence

The English Oral Mastery Programme is in:genius’ signature oracy curriculum – built to take students from their first read-aloud in Primary 1 to a PSLE-ready spoken response in Primary 6.

The Shift In PSLE English

Every word your child says now counts more.

Rests On The Oral Component.

MOE has placed grater emphasis on the oracy component of the Primary 6 English PSLE, and speaking well is no longer a “soft skill” on the side – it’s a direct, sizeable share of the final grade.

Yet Oracy is the skill most classrooms have the least time to build. Reading aloud and spoken response takes years of small deliberate reps: pronunciation, pacing, expression and the confidence to speak up and respond on the spot.

That’s precisely the gap the English Oral Mastery Programme is built to close – starting early, building steadily, so students walk into their PSLE oral exam having done this a hundred times before.

The Framework

Two pillars, one confident voice.

Every lesson maps back to one of two core oracy areas drawn from the MOE English Syllabus. One key objective per lesson keeps each session focused, age-appropriate and genuinely masterable.

#1 Reading Aloud

Pronunciation, pacing, intonation, pitch and pause – the building blocks of reading that sounds understood, not just decoded.

Clarity & Fluency

Reading short texts with clear pronunciation, accurate articulation, appropriate pacing and correct pauses at punctuation making it smooth, understandable, meaningful.

Expression

Varying intonation, pitch, tone and expression to carry meaning, mood and feeling – moving students away from falt, monotone reading.

#2 Spoken Response

Relevant content, clear structure and the composure to keep a conversation going – not justa rehearsed answer.

Confidence & Relevance

Building the confidence to give spoken responses relevant to the question, picture or stimulus – moving beyond one-word answers.

Content Development

Organising responses with complete sentences and accurate grammer, using idea, reason,  example and personal connection.

Engagement

Responding to follow-up questions, extending answers naturally and interacting confidently with teachers or peers.

Level-Based Curriculum Weightage
